Futureshock
The introduction of FutureShock to absorb vibrations from the ground provides a more comfortable ride, which has been upgraded on this bike to Future Shock 2.0 with 20mm front travel
The obvious upgrade to this bike is the Rear Future Shock, which is fully adjustable rear shock providing 30mm rear travel whilst maintaining the responsiveness of a rigid frame. Both shocks can be adjusted while riding, and although the new STR is heavier than the old model, the bike provides a huge improvement in comfort and subsequent reduction in fatigue over rough terrain.
Clearance
The new STR comes with a generous 47mm clearance on a 700c wheel and 2.1 on a 650B, allowing the bike to be the most capable gravel bike Specialized has ever made.
Pricing and weights
The Diverge STR comes in 3 models the STR Expert at £7,500, the STR Pro at £9,000 and the S-Works Diverge STR £13,000. All the frames are the same FACT 11R carbon frameset and come with 42mm Tracer Pro 2BR tyres.
